I purchased a Google Sheets template, but it’s View Only?
The download link for Google Sheets will open the original file in “View Only” mode.
How to Use a View-Only Google Sheets Template
To edit the template, simply make a copy for yourself:
- Click on File > Make a copy.
- Enter a new name for your file.
- Click the Make a copy button.
Your personal copy will now be fully editable.

Why did I get a pdf file? Where is the Google Sheet Template?
You received a PDF file instead of a direct Google Sheets link.
Here’s why:
Google Sheets is an online tool, and to prevent broken links, we deliver our templates through a PDF file containing the access link.
How to Open Your Template:
- Open the Download PDF file.
- Look for the “CLICK HERE” button.
- Click the button to be taken directly to your Google Sheets template.

The file I purchased is compatible with Excel. How do I download the Google Sheet file to Excel?
From the file menu click “Download” followed by “Microsoft Excel”
Click File from the file menu at the top of the display. From the menu that is displayed click Download, and select Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) from the side menu.
Are the spreadsheets in your shop password-protected?
Our spreadsheets are not locked or password-protected—they are fully editable.
